The 1st Guards Infantry Division (German: 1. Garde-Infanterie-Division) was a unit of the Prussian (and later) Imperial German Army and was stationed in Berlin.
The Division was created following reorganization on September 5, 1818 of the brigades (previously grouped into Armie Korps) to assume designation as divisions. The foot regiments and batteries of the Prussian Guards were grouped into the Garde Division.
