A ballistic missile attack occurred during a military parade in the Southern Yemeni capital Aden on 1 August 2019. The attack targeted military personnel and nearby civilians killing a total of 51 people and injuring 56. Houthi movement which is at a war with the Hadi-led government and the Southern Movement has claimed responsibility for the attack.[1]

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi movement launched missile and drone attacks on a military parade in Aden.[2] 40 people were killed in the missile attack during the military parade at al-Galaa camp in Breiqa neighborhood of Aden. 11 people were killed earlier in the day by coordinated suicide bombings at a police station. The al-Galaa camp which was hit by a missile housed forces loyal to United Arab Emirates as well as the Saudi led coalition.[3] Brigadier General Muneer al-Yafee belonging to UAE led forces was also killed in the attack.[4]
