The 50th Regiment was a Regiment of the Royal Artillery part of the British Army that existed throughout the Cold War.

History Edit

The 50th Regiment was created when the 4th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment was converted to the 50th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment in 1947. In 1955 the regiment was converted to medium artillery. In 1960 the regiment was converted to light artillery. Eventually in 1964 the regiment was converted to Missile Artillery. Finally the regiment was put into suspended animation in 1993.
