Not to be confused with 5th Bengal European Cavalry or 5th Cavalry (Indian Army).
5th Bengal Light Cavalry was a military unit of the Honourable East India Company. It served in actions in the First Anglo-Sikh War.
In the course of the Indian Rebellion of 1857 all the Bengal Light Cavalry regiments were lost to mutiny or disbandment.
