The Battle of Wisniowiec (also known as the Battle of Lopuszno) took place on 28 April 1512.
The combined Polish-Lithuanian forces under Grand Crown Hetman Mikołaj Kamieniecki and Grand Lithuanian Hetman Konstanty Ostrogski defeated the raid of the Crimean Tatars. The battle was fought in Lopusznodisambiguation needed near Wisniowiec.[1]
The raids continued. In 1516, another great Tatar raid ravaged the Woiwodschafts of Russia, Belsk, and Ljubelsk, carrying off no fewer than 50,000 captives to be sold as slaves at Kertch. In 1519, the Tatars defeated a Polish army-corps of 5000. In 1527, they were routed at Kaniowdisambiguation needed, when 80,000 captives were recovered.[2]
