Combermere Barracks, Windsor, is a British military installation one mile from Windsor Castle. It is over 20 acres in size[1] and is the home of the Household Cavalry Regiment.

The men of the Household Division have sometimes been required to undertake special tasks at the castle as the Sovereign’s personal troops. The Household Cavalry were called to Windsor Castle on 20 November 1992, to assist with salvage operations in the face of the Great Fire.
