Major-General Cyril Aubrey Blacklock DSO & Bar (1880–1936) was a British Army officer who commanded 9th (Scottish) Division during World War I.
Military career[]
Blacklock was commissioned into the King's Royal Rifle Corps in 1901 from the Militia and took part in operations in Orange River Colony during the Second Boer War.[1] He served in World War I as Commanding Officer of 10th Battalion of the King's Royal Rifle Corps from December 1915.[2] He went on to be Commander of 182nd (2/1st Warwickshire) Brigade in 1916 and then Commander of 97th Brigade in 1917.[1] He was appointed General Officer Commanding 9th (Scottish) Division in March 1918, General Officer Commanding 39th Division later that month and General Officer Commanding 63rd (Royal Naval) Division in August 1918[1] before retiring in 1920.[3]
