Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Erich-Heinrich Philipp Karl Albert Reinhard Clößner (17 September 1888 – 28 March 1976) was a highly decorated General der Infanterie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who held commands at the divisional and corps levels. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Erich Clößner was captured by Allied troops in 1945 and was held until 1947.
