Ernst-Siegfried Steen (25 September 1912 – 23 September 1941) was a highly decorated Hauptmann in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Ernst-Siegfried Steen was killed on 23 September 1941 after being hit by anti-aircraft fire from the cruiser Kirov in Kronstadt harbour. He was posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 17 October 1941.
