Erwin Maxa (August 20, 1910 – May 4, 1943) was an Austrian laborer and resistance fighter against the German Nazi Reich. He was deported to the concentration camp Groß-Rosen and brought to death.
Life[]
Maxa worked at the electronics workshop at Vienna's railway station Ostbahnhof. He served as treasurer of a small division of the Communist Party of Austria and distributed flyers to the members of this division. Therefore he was arrested on September 23, 1941 and interrogated by the Gestapo. Thereafter Maxa was deported to the German Concentration camp Groß-Rosen where he died.
