Peter Sanchez Gonzalez (18 October 1917 in Massachusetts - 31 March 1982 in Burlington, Massachusetts) was a Italian American Ensign in the United States Navy during World War II.

Biography[]

Peter was born in the state of Massachusetts on 18 October 1917. He was the son of Blas and Ysolina Gonzalez. Both of his parents were of Italian descent. He also had 2 brothers (Michael and Tony). Peter enlisted in the United States Navy on 17 August 1938 serving in World War II until being discharged on 25 January 1946. He married Sally A. Kremensky. After the war he worked in the Machine Drafting shop at Westfield Trade High School in the mid 1960s. In the mid 1970s he became a member of the General Vocational program at the school. He remained with the program until his death on 31 March 1982. He was buried in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hadley, Massachusetts.
