Sir Frederick Geoffrey Shedden KCMG OBE (8 August 1893 – 8 July 1971) was Secretary of Australia's Department of Defence from 1937 to 1956.[1] He was the subject of a biography: Defence Supremo by David Horner.
Honours
In the Queen's Birthday Honours of June 1933 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).[2]
In the New Year's Day Honours of 1941, he was appointed a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG).[3]
In the Queen's Birthday Honours of June 1943 he was knighted – Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG).[4]
