George DePhillips (23 May 1906 in Massachusetts - 1 May 1982 in Springfield, Massachusetts) was a Italian American veteran who served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II.

Biography[]

George was born in the state of Massachusetts on 23 May 1906. He was the son of Santo and Sarah DePhillips. His parents were of Italian descent. He also had a brother named Louis. George enlisted in the U.S. military on 23 June 1942 serving in World War II until being discharged on 6 May 1946. After the war he settled in Westfield where he became a member of the Westfield Trade High School Advisory Committee and worked at L. D. Phillips Construction Company. He died in Springfield on 1 May 1982.
