George Washington Burr, Jr. was born in Tolono, Illinois to George and Nancy Burr on December 3, 1865.[1]


Burr attended the United States Military Academy and graduated in 1888.[2][3]

He received the Army Distinguished Service Medal for actions in World War I.[3]

Death and legacyEdit

Burr died on March 4, 1923 in Washington, D.C.[4]
