Hans Weiss (28 August 1911 – 23 October 1978) was a Waffen-SS Obersturmbannführer (lieutenant colonel) during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. He received the award on 6 April 1943 for service as the commander of the SS-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 2 "Das Reich" (2nd SS Panzer Reconnaissance Battalion), which was assigned to the 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich.[1][2]
