Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (posthumously)

Heinz Krey (31 December 1921 in Wiesbaden – 23 May 1943 in the North Atlantic) was a German chief engineer on a U-boat in World War II and a posthumous recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German language: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
