Jilma A. Marshall (December 19, 1925 – May 3, 2012) was an American an archery gold medalist in the Senior Olympics.
She was born in San Francisco, California, to a Jamaican American mother, Alberta E. Marshall, and a Colombian American father, Roberto Feliciano Marichel (Marshall). She had two brothers, Roberto and Juan. Marshall graduated from Mission High School and San Francisco State University. She served as a Sgt. Major in the U.S. Army (active and reserves).[1]
Marshall won her gold medal in 2009 at the Senior Olympics in the barebow recurve event where she represented California.[2]
Jilma Marshall was a founding member of the Daughters of Bilitis, (/bɪˈliːtɨs/), the first lesbian civil and political rights organization in the United States, formed in San Francisco in 1955.
Marshall was a mother of Lamar M. de P. Marshall-Randall and Ylana A. D. Lewis. Jilma A. Marshall died on May 3, 2012, from a heart condition.
