This is a list of aircraft of the Royal Canadian Navy. It also covers the period post-1968 when all aircraft operations were transferred to the air section of the newly unified Canadian Forces (now Canadian Forces Maritime Command).
Prior to the Second World War Canada did not operate any naval aircraft. The Royal Navy Air Service's Royal Navy Canadian Air Service operated flying boats. During the Second World War, Canada's naval aircraft were carrier based aircraft inherited from the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. From the end of war to the 1960s, the RCN operated both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. After the CF sold off their last carrier (HMCS Bonaventure), Canada's navy operated only helicopters on their ships. Trackers were land based and performed maritime patrols.
