Major General Matheus Alueendo (born 1 January 1961) is a Namibian military officer who is the current Commander of the Namibian Army (NA). He was appointed the Commander of the Namibian Army on 31 July 2019.[2][3][4][5]
Career[]
General Alueendo career in the Namibian Army began in July 1990 after being commissioned as a lieutenant. General Alueendo is a Military Intelligence officer who has served in various roles within the directorate including as Chief of Staff Defence Intelligence from November 2013. In September 2018 he was appointed as the Deputy Namibian Army Commander.
