Paal Frisvold (1908–1997) was a Norwegian military officer. He was born in Harstad.[1] He was among the group of central persons who developed military resistance in Norway in 1940 and 1941, eventually leading to the formation of Milorg. In March 1941 he had to flee to Sweden.[2][3] He was staff leader at the Norwegian police troops in Sweden in 1945. From 1958 he was assigned chief of the Norwegian Army, with the rank of Lieutenant General.[1]
