Regiment Skoonspruit is a motorised infantry regiment of the South African Army. It forms part of the South African Army Infantry Formation. As a reserve unit, it has a status roughly equivalent to that of a British Territorial Army or United States Army National Guard unit.
History[]
This Regiment was formed in 1966. The first commander was Cmdt Kruger followed by the following commanders Cmdt Roodt, Cmdt Jacobs and Lt/Col Campher.
