Tadeus "Ted" Joseph Taraska (14 November 1919 in Westfield, Massachusetts - 18 September 2003 in Wilbraham, Massachusetts) was a Polish American veteran of the United States Navy.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Ted was born in the town of Westfield, Massachusetts on 14 November 1919. He was the son of Joseph and Katarzyna Taraska. Ted also had 3 brothers (Zigmund, Stanley, Adolph, and Felix) and a sister (Josephine). He served in the United States Navy from 27 June 1946 to 10 June 1947. He worked at Westfield Trade High School in the Electrical Wiring Department in the mid 1960s retiring in the 1990s. He married Rita A. Chabot. He settled in Wilbraham where he passed away on 18 September 2003. He was buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Keene, New Hampshire.
